Eli Wan contains multitudes. He’s a Chinese-Korean artist, born and raised in Brisbane’s multicultural hub, Sunnybank. He’s a university dropout, Uber Eats devotee, lockdown endurer, and one of Australia’s most exciting indie acts.

​Debuting in late 2025, Eli has captured music fans’ ears with his catchy blend of alt-rock and EDM. Inspired by acts like Last Dinosaurs, Bon Iver, and Porter Robinson, Eli explores what it means to connect in an online age where we’re just as likely to swipe as to say “hi”. His music is steeped in a dynamism and freedom that has carried from the studio to the stage. To Eli, the barricade separating him and the crowd is merely an obstacle to be overcome. It’s common to catch him face to face with his fans, mutually screaming lyrics of angst into each other’s faces — the epitome of an offline experience.
